Just an update on a few things I have been up to over the last month, this has been one of the most busiest weeks I have had since university I reckon!
Well first things first, some of you guys that follow me on Twitter and Instagram will already know this, but... I finally got my scarves printed!!! They look so great, I am so happy with the results, the quality of the print and material is epic!! They are 90 X 90cm digitally printed onto silk-cotton, and they are unisex!!
Some of my lovely friends kindly modelled them for me, so here are a bunch of photos from the shoot :)
So..those are my scarves! There are just a couple left on my etsy page, and if you are in Glasgow, you can buy the full range of colours from The Shop of Interest, along with some of my dolls!! :) (so honoured to have some of my stock in there, it is such an amazing and creative shop, you have to at least check out their website, ok?1?!)!
Some more exciting news, I am exhibiting this Friday for an exhibition that my friend Aymee has organised, called Everything. It is going to be a showcase for Aberdeen creatives to exhibit their work for the night, including Live music, Fashion, Film, Sculpture, Illustration, and loads more!! I am frantically (oh I have that Metallica song in my head now.. Frantic tic tic tic tic tic tic tok!) making dolls over this week, which are going to look awesome, really excited for them, so expect a blog after the event with loads of pictures!
There will also be a fashion show, including Aymee's new collection, so I am solo excited to see, as Aymee's designs are so cute and amazing, she is so talented! Check out her website www.aymeecharlton.co.uk to get a glimpse of some of her work.
If you are around Aberdeen (in Scotland) I highly recommend you come along to the event and say hi and pick up one of my new business cards ;). You can find out more about Everything event including tickets on the facebook page here.
Ok, that is all for now, got to get back to creating my dolls!
Various ponderings by me; Nicola Brand: creator of the Nicolpops stitch-punk doll. I dabble with illustration, but my main passion is for knitting, and using mixed media to create one of a kind critters.
