So it has been quite a while since I have written a blog, like a REALLY long time, but I am back now (yay)!!
Anyone that follows me on Twitter or Facebook will know that I have been without WIFI for a while, and have been moving house again (yep already haha). But I am finally settled in the new place, and loving life, so ready to get back into the creative swing of things again.
I kind of went through an “artists block” for a while, as so much complicated things were happening all at once, which meant I couldn’t devote any real time to my art, which if you are a fellow creative is one of the worst things you can experience, when the menial things start taking over, and you feel trapped in the bubble of “real life” and cannot use your imagination.
So, over the last few weeks I have been changing my attitude for the better, and rethinking every situation into a positive one.
I have been starting each day listing everything that I am grateful for, then using that positive energy to set me up for the day. Being negative only attracts those negative vibes into you, and will only promote those bad things to happen, so instead if you stay positive and have faith that what you want will happen, then it will!!
Now that I am feeling inspired again I feel like I can put 100% into my new commissions, which I really can’t wait to show you guys!!! One of them is a commission to make two dolls, an Amy Winehouse and a Kurt Cobain (cool!!!). Have already knitted all the pieces, just need to stitch em up and fashion up some outfits for them!
In the meantime, here are a couple of illustrations I recently drew of a twisted Red Riding Hood and Gingerbread Man... They might look a little dark, but I think putting my thoughts and soul into my illustrations will help me to let go of any issues I may have that day, so going to try and devote one or two evenings a week to doing my own personal art.
Thanks for bearing with me guys, I am so grateful for you all!!!
Have an awesome week,
