I have not written a blog post for a while now, I have just had the most busy month of my life! From doing 12 hour nightshifts, to making dolls, new illustrations for a book, and getting around making a range of scarves. Well, everything is slowly, but surely, coming together now, and I will be here more often to update the blog and website. :)
I have spent this afternoon finalising the colours and print designs for my "octo-marine" scarf, which a few of you have been asking for, so these should be made by next month hopefully! I have chosen these colours, mainly because they are my fave ;) and I feel like these will be suitable for both men and women, however, if you are interested I can make up a custom scarf in a colour of your choice. They will be 90cm X 90cm, and I have not yet decided on a material for them, this is something I would like to research further!
I went back to my old uni, "Grays School of Art" on friday, it was such a strange, nostalgic feeling walking down that pathway again, and crazy to see so many new faces! It makes me miss the security of being a student, not needing to worry about the future, and of course having all the knitting and printing facilities that you need whenever you need them! I certainly hope the students are making the most of Grays while they can.
So after taking advantage of the Grays Art Shop and stocking up on new pens, I am ready to crack on with my new commission - illustrating "The Perfect Pudding" written by Fiona Ross from Edinburgh.
I am super excited to start this, as it is a space adventure book, which will be so much fun to illustrate, and perhaps get over my fear of aliens, haha.
Anyway, time to go, I shall keep you updated on my new projects as I go along :)
All the best,
